About

Worcester is a soccer city but it’s not being prioritized as such yet. We aim to change that. With the increase in immigrant and refugee populations in recent years comes a huge influx of people who love soccer. Not just as entertainment or as a recreational activity, but as a major cultural form of community. Along with residents who have called Worcester home for generations, these new citizens are working to make our city the vibrant, diverse, and exciting place it is and is capable of becoming. Soccer is an integral way of building bridges and reaching as many people as possible. We are going to build this network by connecting with the many groups and individuals who are already involved in playing and promoting soccer, so that all may benefit from the resources and knowledge we share. Please join us in showing the love for Worcester and for the beautiful game. We seek to make our voices heard as one.

Mission

We are the diverse communities in Worcester who play, organize, and advocate for soccer. We are life-long residents, immigrants, and recently settled citizens of Worcester. We will network through and about soccer in the city.

Objectives

• Establish and maintain a publicly available database and network of soccer organizations, leagues, events, and activities within the city.
• Foster communication within the soccer communities of Worcester and request that they be in regular contact as necessary to update the network.
• Advocate for resources to make soccer more accessible and viable in Worcester, and particularly for immigrant and refugee communities.
• Promote soccer-related events in Worcester.
• Educate politicians and public servants, and inform agendas that prioritize soccer and immigrants in Worcester.
